That's a wrap on the CPL 2025 action for today. Thank you for tuning in and staying with us. We truly hope you enjoyed the match! Do join us again for more cricket action right here on ESPNcricinfo. Until then, this is Rashad Mahbub, signing off on behalf of Harshith Gowda. Goodbye!

David Wiese: "[Back-to-Back Wins] That was a good one. I spoke earlier at the toss about getting a complete team performance, and I feel like we covered all our bases. There's still a little room for improvement, but it was a really good performance from everyone tonight. [Spinners] It's all about trying to get the right matchups and conditions. The other game just didn't work out, and while I would have loved to get him [Chase] a few overs, it just didn't happen. Today, the conditions and matchups were perfect for him, and every time I've given him the ball in this competition, he's delivered. [Shamsi] He'll be the first to admit his first game wasn't good enough. But since then, he has come back nicely. He's really put his hand up, bowling well from the tough end, also with the wind, and he has performed nicely for us, getting some crucial wickets tonight. It's always nice to split the workload a little bit. You want a couple of players to get into form towards the latter part of the tournament. It's a good sign for us. Hopefully, the bowlers can also start getting their plans right, and then we can start putting in those complete performances again. If you look at Keon Gaston, he has gone from strength to strength every single game. His execution has gotten better. For him, it's about having a clear mind, a clear plan, and executing it to the best of his ability. He's nailing his straight yorkers nicely. We saw tonight that his last two overs, where he was nailing those straight yorkers, were awesome for the team. [Crowd] The crowd has been awesome with us the whole time. It's really nice when we get a bit of momentum going, and then they get a bit of momentum going as well; it just gives us that little bit of extra impetus. We have one more game left, and I'm sure they're going to come out to support us again on Sunday. We look forward to hopefully sending them off with another win."

Jason Holder: "[Target Score] We were a little short today. I thought we needed probably 200 or in excess of 200 runs. We know this is a pretty high-scoring ground, and we knew the weather and dew could come into play, making it harder for the bowlers in the second half. But having said that, we were way short. We got a little bit stuck in the middle. We never really had the momentum we needed coming out of the Powerplay. We were probably a little bit behind as well. But even if you're behind, we should have shown a little bit more intent. We just lacked some runs. [Message to the team] There's only one thing to say: the runs are on the board. It's up to us to have our attitude up and to make sure we go and defend them. It doesn't matter how many runs we have on the board; what counts is our attitude and how we go about it. Credit must be given to Johnson Charles and Tim Seifert, who played really well up front and probably took the game away from us in the Powerplay. It's tough in these conditions, trying to contain two powerful hitters in the first six overs on a decent batting strip. I'm very disappointed, obviously, but we still have three games left. You never know what can happen in this game of cricket. We've just got to have our attitude up, come back stronger, and play better cricket. That's all we can ask of ourselves. Every individual has a role, and they need to execute their roles. We have three games left, so we have to take it one game at a time. The most important thing for us is to have a really good attitude and just put up a better performance."

Player of the Match, Tabraiz Shamsi: "It's a special feeling, of course. As a player, you just want to play your part, and I've been given a slightly different role by the coach and captain. I'm just glad that I was able to do my job today. I don't want to disclose too much about my new role, but it's been a nice challenge, and I'm just playing my part. The other guys have done their bit as well; the batters are on fire once again. I would say it was a complete team effort. It was nice to get a couple of victories in front of the home crowd. We've had two games washed out, which we would have loved to play, so we dropped some points, but it's nice to build some momentum. I'm sure the crowd will turn out in their numbers on Sunday as well. [On Preparing for a Busy Schedule] The games coming thick and fast can be both a positive and a negative. If you have a shocking game, you can't wait for the next one to come so you can put in a better performance. But when you find a little bit of rhythm, it's also nice that the games come quickly, so you don't have much time to waste and can just get the job done as best as you can."

Josh: "David has a sub150 strike rate here. Pretty sluggish by his recent standards haha"

Laks: "T.David once avoided facing or being shielded to face wrist spin of Rashid Khan, he now has grown in confidence while facing and attacking wrist spin . "

10:25 pm A clinical run chase by the home team! The Kings secured their second win against the Patriots this season, this time in front of a packed home crowd. An explosive start from Johnson Charles set the tone early in the innings. Tim Seifert soon joined the party, with the two batters going berserk in the fifth over, smashing 21 runs. The openers put up a brilliant 72-run stand in the Powerplay, hitting the bowlers to all parts of the ground on a batter-friendly surface. Charles scored a blistering 47 runs off only 17 deliveries before being deceived by a googly from Salamkheil. Seifert continued his fine form, scoring his third CPL fifty. Seifert and Auguste formed a solid partnership, with Auguste scoring a solid 29 off 20 balls. Both the set batters were eventually dismissed by Naseem Shah in consecutive overs. In the end, Tim David and Roston Chase clinched the victory, hitting a few boundaries to relieve pressure and get their team over the line. Salamkheil finished with one wicket, while Naseem Shah took two. With a convincing win today, the St Lucia Kings have moved to the top of the table. The Patriots, meanwhile, remain in fifth place, just hanging on with a glimmer of hope for the qualifiers still alive.
