misses a full toss, Ramdin fumbles it behind the stumps to concede four byes, T&T have won
Trinidad & T vs Eagles, 19th Match, League A at Hyderabad, Oct 18 2009 - Ball by Ball Commentary
An easy win in the end, Eagles' chase totally fizzled out after Roussow's dismissal. They need a mammoth target to scale down in 14.2 overs to qualify, but in the end, even 20 overs proved too few. A high-scoring encounter, though, and the crowd was thoroughly entertained. T&T play their semi-final at this very venue. We'll get you the presentation details in just a bit. It's Ravi Shastri again, the host for the post-match formalities.
Adrian Barath is Man of the Match: "My best Twenty20 innings. We set it up nicely in the middle for Stewart and Pollard in the end. Brian Lara had a lot of belief in me, and he helps me a lot along the way. After this performance, hopefully we could go all the way and we should propel in the final."
Dippenaar: "It doesn't make my job easier as captain when the balls are flying around like that. T&T are the odd favourites in this competition now. Around 195-200 could have been chaseable. We have some very exciting players, and we should see some of them in many more Champions Leagues from now on. There is no country in the world that is as passionate about cricket as India, and we've enjoyed playing here."
Ganga: "Very intense, they put on some fight. The guys are very hungry to perform. The guys have grown accustomed to the plan, to score 200 runs was a great effort. We are now looking forward to the semis. Barath is a raw talent, and he makes it a little difficult for us now in terms of selection. We need to plan well for the opposition, and we'll know who that is tomorrow."
That's all from us here. Thanks for tuning in. Join us for the Cobras v Delhi fixture tomorrow. Until then, it's goodbye from all of us here at Cricinfo.
