Gloucs won by 7 wickets

5.50pm Four wins and a draw in five matches. Gloucestershire have a well-deserved week off next week, with their place at the top table looking very cushty indeed. David Payne is the star with 11 wickets, but this was a fine team performance, with Bracey and Cockbain in the first innings putting on an important show with the bat. As for Middlesex, they have four losses from five, and look rudderless after a succession of batting malfunctions.

huge appeal and Harris strikes! A zippy inswinger thuds the pads, it was quite high but he was deep in his crease. Brathwaite won't see it through, but his doughty knock has done the needful
