33.4 to GS Ballance, that will boost Pattinson. Banged in a short, Ballance goes for the pull and gets a meaty top edge which goes now further than cover where Smith negotiates the sun to hold the catch. 190/3
10 | 0 | 67 | 4 | 6.70 | 29 | 7 | 2 | 2 | 0 | |
35.6 to BA Stokes, big wicket! Stokes tries to lap-sweep a slower ball but can only get a top edge that loops behind him and Matthew Wade trots around for the catch. They check the no-ball, it's very tight but is just okay. Bit close for comfort.. 206/4 47.3 to EJG Morgan, Morgan is gone, he has flicked a low full toss from Faulkner to midwicket where Christian takes a pretty straightforward catch.. 287/6 49.4 to JC Buttler, Buttler's entertaining innings comes to an end, he's swung hard outside off and this slices off the top edge and flies away towards third man where Johnson comes in and takes the catch. 312/7 49.5 to TT Bresnan, another catch at third man! Would you believe it? Bresnan has sliced this one off the edge and Johnson makes good ground to his left to take the catch. 312/8
10 | 0 | 62 | 1 | 6.20 | 34 | 9 | 1 | 3 | 0 | |
38.6 to RS Bopara, and now he's gone! England losing their way. A length delivery, Bopara tries to pull but can't get it over mid-on where Doherty runs backwards, keeps his eyes on the ball and holds a good catch. 216/5
9 | 0 | 37 | 1 | 4.11 | 32 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 0 | |
12.2 to AN Cook, breakthrough! Another start not built on for Cook. Goes for the slog sweep, played over the top of the ball and it hits off stump. Was quite full for the shot. There may have been a little bottom edge. Maxwell does the trick again.. 87/1
3 | 0 | 15 | 1 | 5.00 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 0 | |
21.4 to IR Bell, Bell is gone! Oh, he'll be so frustrated at himself here. It was a bad ball down leg and Bell goes for the glance but fine leg is up in the circle and takes the catch easily! That didn't look like a plan from the Australians, just a fortuitous piece of, well, fortune.. 138/2 |

31.4 to SPD Smith, and that's what he needs! Broad pitches up outside off, just a hint of movement away to take Smith's outside edge. Well bowled, just rolled his fingers across the ball to create some cut. 174/4 44.6 to DT Christian, Christian is gone now, yet another batsman in this match caught at third man. He's swung hard and a thickish edge is taken by a sliding Gary Ballance. 247/9

6.5 to SE Marsh, top catch! Marsh trying to guide this delivery down to third man, was a little close to him and the thick outside edge is grabbed by Bell diving high to his left at second slip. A good start from Bresnan is rewarded. 46/1 35.2 to AJ Finch, massive moment! Finch guides a short-of-a-length delivery towards third man where Broad runs around the rope and holds a well-judged catch. 189/5 47.4 to JL Pattinson, it's over! England have won! Pattinson skies a high top edge that flies over the head of the keeper, but Buttler is good enough to run back and take a well-judged catch. 259/10

20.4 to MS Wade, oh dear, Wade has tried to force the pace now with a drive over long-off but all he's managed to do was find Cook in the ring. 110/2

25.6 to GJ Bailey, down leg side and this flicks something on the way through to Buttler. It sounded thuddy as if it was pad, and the caught-behind appeal is turned down. England want a review. Well, this is very interesting. The front-on view didn't seem to support the review but Hot Spot has shown something. A clear mark on Hot Spot from the side on camera and this is out! What a good review - the sound didn't seem like bat, but Hot Spot said it was off the face of the bat before the pad. After the umpires also double-check that the ball has carried, Bailey has been given out!. 132/3 39.1 to GJ Maxwell, strikes first ball! An excellent match continues for Stokes. It was a back-of-a-length cutter, gripped a little on the pitch, which Maxwell tried to swing with all his power through the leg side but only got a thin edge to Buttler. 222/6 41.5 to JP Faulkner, another wicket and it's the big one! Faulkner will not be the hero today. The extra bounce has done for Faulkner as it did for Maxwell. Faulkner backs off a touch and tries to slash through off and a top edge sails safely through to Buttler. 230/7 43.3 to MG Johnson, bowled, middle stump! Johnson went the big swing and Stokes was accurate enough to hit. This is England's match now, it's hard to see any way out for Australia.. 239/8 |
