Russel Arnold tweets: Inspection at 4.. the sun has broken through and if no more rain we will have a game....6.37 is the latest we can start.
3:30pm: A day of inspections, we have another one coming up at 4.00pm.
2:30pm: Most of the covers are off and the umpires are out and having a look. Umpires have confirmed a second inspection will take place at 3.15pm.
2:00pm Some good news, weather looks good and Super Sopper is working hard to clear the water and the inspection will take place in half-an hour from now.
1:10pm: Pitch inspection confirmed at Edgbaston at 2.30pm
1:00pm: The umpires are out and having a look at the outfield, the super sopper is also doing its work, but the covers are still on. There is a possibility of a 3pm start. They are starting to clear it now. That will take 90 mins. Then they'll take a look.
George Dobell who is just down the road from the ground just confirmed that it has stopped raining but still a long way to go before we can get some play in.
