28.6 to SJ Tsukigawa, the bowling change works, bowled on a good length outside off, got enough movement away from the batsman, Sukigawa chased it though it was neither short nor too wide to cut, got a thick edge and Sarah Taylor, who's been kept busy today, takes another sitter. 101/7
5 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 4.80 | 20 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 0 | |
7.6 to KL Pulford, big wicket! Short and wide, slashes hard, connects well but ends up hitting it straight to Claire Taylor at backward point who snaps a sharp chance, stayed her ground there, was unperturbed by the speed at it which that was hit and pouched it comfortably, England strike, finally. 26/1
8.2 | 0 | 34 | 4 | 4.08 | 31 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
11.3 to SW Bates, Bates goes, and the pair that dominated against Pakistan has now been separated after adding just 23, full on the off stump and Bates is tempted to clear to mid-on which she fails to do, mistimes it straight to Atkins who takes it comfortably. 49/2 11.4 to AE Satterthwaite, trouble for New Zealand! Bowled on a good length outside off, has a lazy prod at it, moves away, takes the outside edge and the wicketkeeper makes no mistake. 49/3 15.5 to HM Tiffen, England are firmly in control now, Shaw's proved a potentially match-winning replacement here, short of a good length outside off and Tiffen tries to chop it down wide of point, gets a thick edge and Sarah Taylor cups it easily. 62/4 47.2 to NJ Browne, gets her fourth and New Zealand have folded for a below-par score, slower ball bowled on a good length outside off, cut back into the right hander, caught her on the pads as she tried to turn it towards square leg, Shaw was convinced and so was the umpire. 166/10
10 | 1 | 26 | 1 | 2.60 | 46 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
18.2 to SJ McGlashan, McGlashan goes, it's bowled full on middle and leg and she just chips it to Greenway positioned exactly for that shot at short midwicket, what now for New Zealand?. 74/5
10 | 3 | 34 | 2 | 3.40 | 46 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
23.2 to AL Mason, bowled round her legs this time, similar delivery, attempts a similar shot, except that the ball spun in towards leg stump this time, she missed and the sticks behind her took a battering. 92/6 45.3 to LR Doolan, stumped, fired in down the leg side anticipating Doolan to give her the charge, she missed and Sarah Taylor did an excellent job to collect it cleanly and clip the bails to find the batsman well out of her crease. 164/8
4 | 1 | 13 | 1 | 3.25 | 18 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
46.5 to SFM Devine, gone for a duck, quicker ball bowled flat on middle, it holds its line, Devine has a wild swing at it, tries to hoick it over midwicket, she misses, is rapped on the pads in line with the stumps and the umpire has no hesitation. 166/9 |

17.2 to SJ Taylor, a wicket, finally, tossed up, lands full on middle, she mistimes a chip straight to midwicket where Tiffen takes a dolly. 74/1 27.2 to CMG Atkins, another one, Doolan strikes, it's tossed up outside off, Atkins makes room and tries to force it through the off side, but isn't quite to the pitch and the bat turns in her end, she ends up slicing it straight to point where Devine takes a good catch diving to her left. 111/3 31.4 to CM Edwards, Doolan has fought back superbly here, tossed up outside off, spins back in sharply, Edwards attempts another one of those delicate nudges past the keeper, the ball ricochets off the pads into the keeper's gloves but the umpire raises his finger, no contact with the bat there, Edwards is upset and so she should be, but there's nothing she can do. New Zealand are back in this. 121/4

26.2 to SC Taylor, Mason strikes! Taylor was beaten by the flight as well as the pace there, much slower through the air and gave it much for air, Taylor had already committed herself to a drive off the front foot, was into the shot a little too early, missed and her stumps took a beating. 109/2 38.3 to LS Greenway, the frustration was setting in and she's finally succumbed to it, tossed up outside off, comes down the track to slog it over midwicket, gets the top edge and Satterthwaite at mid-off runs back to take a well judged catch. 139/5 |
