On that note we bring down the curtains to this game. Thanks for the feedback and enjoyed the interaction. The report is getting ready and it will be up anytime now from S Sudarshanan. Also catch up on all the other action on this platform. Until next time, on behalf of Ekanth who is busy resting after that first innings and our scorer, signing off from here. Be well and see you soon. Bye.

So another thriller involving West Indies and they come out on top. Bangladesh will be wondering where did it go all wrong especially after dominating for large parts of the game. A chance lost to record another World Cup win. And the emotions at the end on the faces of the girls told their story. West Indies hang on and give themselves a real chance of making the semi-finals. A loss today would've been almost fatal for them. But they dug in deep to come out on the right side.

murali: "This win for WI is bad news for India. Going by current form, Aussies and SA will beat India. India will against BD but that will get them to only 6. England have two games left and should get to 8 points."

Sampath our stats guy with this: First time all ten wickets in an innings at the Women's World Cup were picked by spinners - Hayley Matthews (4), Afy Fletcher (3) and Stafanie Taylor (3).

7th instance of a team winning with a margin of < 10 runs or < 6 balls to spare in this World Cup. Previous most in a WWC edition was three each in 2013 and 2017.

Stafanie Taylor: Able and the medical personnel taking care of her, hopefully she will pull through. It was sad to see her go down. But we need to look at the bright side, it was time for us to regroup, we came back and changed the momentum. In the end probably worked out. The batters need to come to the party, we are not consistent. We need to be consistent if we want to compete in the competition. It is not a case of Hayley, Deandra or me has to bat all the time. I thought Afy [Fletcher] was brilliant, first game back after giving birth. She has been working really hard in the nets. Really pleased she came out on top. It is something we need to talk about our batting, where we are at and where we need to be - there's no two ways about it. Looking back from the India game, the Australia game and even here we did not perform well with the bat. That's something which is a big concern for us and we have to talk about it. We can't go through a tournament like this, we have to put our hand up and bat.

Nigar Sultana: It was a very close match, the way our bowlers started was incredible. Pretty disappointed in our batting, lack of partnerships and I should have played till the end, it would've been better. We want to work on this. We were planning to utilise the conditions well, I tell my girls: just hit the right areas, doing the dots and wickets will come. We want to work on our lackings. If we could play many matches we could handle better at these experiences.

Matthews: Bit worrying seeing her going down like that. She is a fighter, not sure what is wrong with her but hopefully she is alright. We knew that we did not have enough runs on the board, we need something special with the ball. All the spinners stepped up, Rahmarack bowled her 10 overs for 15 runs, which was wonderful to see and building the pressure has helped. We have played a lot of ODI cricket in 2021-22 which has helped. We have been in a lot of pressure situations, playing a lot more matches, is definitely helping out in those situations. Over the last couple of months, our coaching staff is continuously instilling good traits into us - confidence being one of those. Our game has gone forward over the last few months. Not the performance we wanted to put up today but shows that we were able to get over the line in those pressure situations.

Hayley Matthews is the Player of the Match for her 4/15.

MUQEET : "This has to be the most competitive World Cup across all formats, men and women and even across all other sports."

Ankur : "What a cliffhanger and WI hang on, once again in this tournament!!"

Sankalp : "Unbelievable scenes, real emotions. This CWC has definitely got me hooked to women's cricket "

5.45pm: Third win for West Indies in the tournament and another last-over thriller, they have turned this into a habit now. They have defended 140 to win by four runs. Hayley Matthews provided the early wickets with the new ball and the legspinner Fletcher turned the game with three quick wickets in the middle. The offpsinner Rahmarack kept building the dots and the pressure at the other end and Bangladesh just wilted. But Joty, Salma and Nahida kept on fighting till the end, got their side closer and Taylor kept her nerve in the final over to seal the deal. Nahida who was farming the strike so well alongside Trisna, eventually had to see the defeat from the non-striker's end. A worrying moment late on when Connell collapsed on the field, which meant a delay of around 10 minutes with the last pair at the crease which only heightened tensions further. Thankfully she got up and was taken away for medical attention to a hospital. Do stay tuned for the presentation...

Taylor to Fariha Trisna, OUT

West Indies win. Heartbreak for Bangladesh and Trisna walks off after inside-edging it back on. Slower outside off, Trisna drags it back on. A scream of pain from Nahida at the other end and Bangladesh can't quite believe it. They are crestfallen. Taylor just closes her eyes and looks up to the heavens as she is relieved. What a win

what drama. Flicked to deep square and a decent throw to the bowler would have got Trisna out, but it is well wide of Taylor and Trisna makes it in

8 off 6. Taylor to bowl the final over. It has to be Nahida or bust for Bangladesh. Three on the leg-side boundary.

We are ready for the restart

Connell has some issues. The fielders rush towards her. Hope she is alright. A break in play. Simon Doull on air says that the ambulance is waiting. What happened to Connell? Not sure, but hopefully nothing serious. The broadcaster rightly is not focusing on Connell at the moment - so one can only guess as to how she is feeling. The players patiently wait for the medical staff to do their job. And now we see Connell getting up gingerly on her own and going into the mini ambulance cum car. That's great news. Connell was holding her stomach before she went in. Clearly in strife. West Indies get into a huddle and seem pretty relaxed. Back to their fielding positions now.
