blocked back to the bowler, overthrows gives the winning runs and MacLeod finishes on 99*
Scotland vs Canada, 28th Match at Ayr, Jul 11 2012 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Scotland take a step closer to World Cup Qualification today after winning by 4 wickets, thanks to 99* from Calum MacLeod and a lucklasture batting performance from Canada. They overtake U.A.E. to the second qualifying spot in the table, and after some persistent rain managed to finally get some cricket played.
MacLeod was the anchor of the Scottish innings as his teammates came and went around him. The pace bowling of Soraine was expensive but yielded two key wickets. The Canadian spinners slowed the run-rate during the middle overs, but Scotland were able to keep to runs ticking over to well above what was required. It really was a solo performance as no other Scottish batsmen managed to get over 25.
Thanks for joining me Callum Stewart here today at Cambusdoon in Ayr for our live ball-by-ball commentary.
