With that the rain comes hammering down again, the Umpires take the players off the field and that's probably going to be the end of the game. What a shame
It's just been confirmed that the game has been abandoned. The Umpires walked off with the stumps, so we had guessed that!
Its a shame as the game was building up to a close finish, but in the end the weather was the only winner today.
Both teams pick up 2 points and that means that the Lightning move back to the top of the table. At least until this time tomorrow.
The news has just come through that the reverse fixture of this game which was supposed to be at the Mardyke on Saturday is now going to be played here at Pembroke. It's too wet down there in Cork.
