McKeegan blocks the ball towards extra cover, the fielder comes running in, dives forward and takes the catch. Huge win for the Reds
Reds vs NW Warriors, 5th Match at Comber, PRO T20, May 29 2022 - Ball by Ball Commentary
The Warriors Innings got off to a poor start, losing McGuire second ball. It didn't get any better as regular wickets fell. If it wasn't for Jared Wilson's excellent 72* the game would have been over long before now.
Only one other Warriors batter made it to double figures, Kennedy, but in truth they never looked like getting near the target.
The wickets were spread out between the Reds bowlers, with Gareth Delany taking the final catch to go along with his two wickets. Add his 40 off 25 balls with the bat, and he has just been named the player of the match.
100 runs was the margin of victory which means that they pick up 5 points for the win and end the weekend six points clear of their closest rivals. Not a bad weekend overall for the team from Munster.
So that's it for this game, please join me for the final game of the weekend when the Knights take on the Lightning. Until then, this is Justin saying bye for now.
