Full commentary

Right, that closes our coverage tonight. Thank you for joining us and we'll see you on Tuesday!

Rajapaksa: When you bat on good wickets, the confidence the batters didn't have in Khetarrama, they showed here. I think our team is very well balanced at the moment, I don't want to change that. I think this is a good habit, beating the reigning champions. Special credit should go to the bowlers, the way they handled the pressure. The way Thushara batted, the future is bright for Sri Lanka.

Thisara: It happens in cricket. We gave 25-30 runs more, that's the reason for the loss. Our boys are doing good job the last 2-3 matches. We will come back strongly. So far we've played on really nice wickets here, not so much in Colombo. It's difficult to suddenly adapt, but we will be back.

Mendis: The pitches were different between Premadasa and here. It was easy batting with Gunathiaka. I've been practicing hard with the coaches at SCC.

Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Match.

Uzair: "It has been all thusara tonight!."

Anne: "Gladiators conqured Jaffna three times in a row"

DA: "8/10 all time best bowling figures of the Lanka Premier League have come this season. Truly is a bowlers tournament this time around. "

11.58pm Galle are through to the final again. The defending champions Jaffna will have to take a longer route if they want to make it again. They're now consigned to Qualifier 2, where they will play Dambulla Giants. It's a second chance and one that they'll be grateful for, because it has been bang ordinary from them tonight. They had no answers for Galle's opening pair, they had no answers against Thushara, and it was only two batters who got into double figures for them. Gurbaz was sensational, but it was a whole lot of slipping and sliding around him after they lost early wickets. At no point were they remotely in control of this match, apart from the toss they won.

Thushara to Theekshana, OUT

that's five for Thushara! Three crucial wickets and then he cleans out the tail to seal a comprehensive victory for Galle. This is short and just outside off. He looks to cut and gets an outside edge that is through to the keeper, no fuss. It's a maiden five-for for Nuwan Thushara in this format

Thushara to Theekshana, no run

short and wide outside off, has a cut and is beaten

Thushara to Wahab Riaz, OUT

tonks off stump! What a spell. Top skill from Thushara. Full slower ball with a low-arm action. Remind you of someone? Wahab looks to slog again and is through it too soon again

Wahab Riaz b Thushara 1 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25
Thushara to Wahab Riaz, no run

full slower ball sliding away from off stump, beaten as he looks to slog this

Thushara to Hasaranga, OUT

he's done it again! Thushara has bowled three spells tonight and started each of them with a wicket. That slingy action is clearly not easy to figure out first up. Full slower ball at off stump, Wanindu clears the front foot and looks to drill it over long-on. Ends up skying it between long-on and long-off. The latter pouches it easily

What an over that from Anwar Ali.

Anwar Ali to Wahab Riaz, no run

bouncer outside off, swings from underneath that and misses

Anwar Ali to Hasaranga, 1 run

low full toss at leg stump, thumped down to long-on

Anwar Ali to Hasaranga, no run

short and wide outside off, mistimes the cut. It ends up rolling out to extra cover

Kavindu K: "Do Gladiators have the best pace attack in the series? They do not have very quick bowlers, yet an effective bunch of medium pacers, who are ideal for subcontinent conditions. "

Anwar Ali to Wahab Riaz, 1 run

good length at off stump, opens the face and runs it to point

Anwar Ali to Hasaranga, 1 run

legcutter, a full toss. Driven down to long-off

And with that we have the signal for a time out.

Anwar Ali to Chaturanga, OUT

slower ball, short of a length and across off stump. Looks to pump that over deep midwicket with a pull but the angle is against him. He slices it out for Udana at long-on

so good. Slower short ball from around the wicket, in the corridor. He stays under it, waits for it to go slightly past him and then has a stab to lift it over the keeper. He has 24 runs from his last 5 balls
