19.5 to Umar Akmal, has he got it? has he cleared the ground again? He has been muscling those short balls away all night, but this time he has picked out the fielder at deep square leg. Certainly made the most of the buffet.. 193/3

16.6 to CS Delport, right in front. Goes for the extravagant reverse flick, which is an odd choice of shot when Babar is firing them in on middle. Ends up not even able to get down on one knee to get the leverage he wants because it is such a quick ball. All he had time for was to switch his stance, and while still upright, he is hit on the toe right in front of middle stump. 157/2

9.6 to Azhar Ali, and the short ball has worked, for the very reason it probably should not. Held in the pitch to ruin Azhar's timing. He was backing away to play the upper cut, but made the move to do so too early. So ends up having to wait while he was losing balance. No timing on the shot, but it does have enough height to sail down third man's throat. 62/1

5.4 to KP Pietersen, moves outside leg and slogs at a back of a length ball cramping him up for room. It's a top edge, it's a skier, it's going to be a touch one, but Kevon Cooper is safe as houses. Takes it coolly and sets off on a lap of honour. 37/3
3.2 | 0 | 14 | 4 | 4.20 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
3.2 to LJ Wright, straight down the throat of Cooper, and Gohar has his redemption. Dropped Wright in the last over, now he has him slogging to the fielder at deep midwicket. 26/2 14.3 to Mohammad Nabi, he has done him in flight! There is something special in an orthodox spin bowler trumping a big-hitting batsman by giving the ball that little bit of air. Here Nabi had opened his shoulders, going down town. Except Gohar got the ball a little wide of his reach, and it had dipped on him as well. The connection is at the very bottom of the bat and long-on runs around to take the catch. 122/6 15.6 to Akbar-ur-Rehman, that's gone too. The newish batsman comes down to the crease, immediately runs at the left-arm spinner. Gohar had ample time to adjust, fires it in wide, past the batsman's reach. Rizwan is aware of the change, collects the ball, disturbs middle and the bat is in the air.. 130/9 16.2 to Umar Gul, length ball, wide outside off, slogged straight to Umar Akmal at long-on. It has been his day through and through. 131/10
2 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 12.00 | 6 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
2.5 to Ahmed Shehzad, plants that back leg outside off, showing his cards early, so Cooper looks for the blockhole. It was up the the batsman to adjust, but he doesn't Swings blindly, gets an inside edge and his stumps are a mess. 20/1
4 | 0 | 32 | 1 | 8.00 | 8 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
12.3 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, beautifully done! Zohaib has duped the dangerous Sarfraz and he loves it. Spreads his hands and borrows Shoaib Akhtar's aeroplane celebration. Almost on instinct he slid this flatter ball wide outside off, and his instinct proved right because Sarfraz was hurtling down the track. This time Rizwan behind the stumps does perfectly, taking the ball and whipping the bails off. 111/4

3 | 0 | 17 | 3 | 5.66 | 8 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
13.5 to Mohammad Nawaz, another stumping for Rizwan, rapidly making up for his misses earlier. Nawaz runs down the track and plays across the line of a ball angled across him. Nowhere near the line of the ball and perishes. Some stunning strokes in the innings, but he succumbs to scoreboard pressure here.. 118/5 15.2 to E Chigumbura, straight to point. This was flighted on off stump, Chigumbura went after it as hard as he could, but it's a total mis-hit. 125/7 15.6 to Anwar Ali, simply done. Anwar panics and runs at Mendis and swings all around a legcutter it seemed like. Gets a leading edge that point hunts down. 129/8 |
