Islamabad United didn't succumb to pressure in a crucial match and the win was set up by that partnership between Salman Ali Agha and Shadab Khan; they kept them ahead in the game. Haider Ali seized the opportunity and entertained us royally with his flair, ending the match with some eye-catching strokes. Mir Hamza took 3/41 and bowled some pearlers, Muzarabani was exceptional returning 1/24 and Zahid got 1/30. 150 didn't prove enough as nobody from Karachi could play an innings that could provide impetus towards the end. An early collapse meant they had to take a precautionary approach. There were a few tight moments but with no real scoreboard pressure, Islamabad smartly picked ones and twos in the middle overs and accelerated towards the end. They were never really in any major trouble in the chase. That is all from this game. For now, it's goodbye and goodnight from Rvel Zahid. Ciao!

1
Hasan Ali to Haider Ali, 1 run

Shorter and outside off, cracks the pull to deep square and guides his team to the doorstep of victory, enjoyed Haider's ebullience, an enterprising stay, Haider showed his range and remarkable hitting ability. Islamabad get over the line comfortably in the end with five wickets in the tank. It was a must-win game for them and they made sure to up the ante, Karachi are not out yet.

6
Hasan Ali to Haider Ali, SIX runs

That is the biggest six of the lot, biggest of the night. Shorter in length just outside off, has mighty swing at it and sends it soaring high into the air, up and up, and eventually coming down in the stands over long-off. What a hit!

Nabeel: "@Rvel I am not flattering but I love your commentary on the match and the way you share the feedbacks of the viewers so thank you for making the matches special for us." Thank you, Nabeel! Your words brought a smile to my face

4
Hasan Ali to Haider Ali, FOUR runs

Goes short but strays in line, on leg, he gets on top of the bounce and carts it away past deep fine for a four. That was asking for trouble, can't afford to err at this stage of the match, it's almost over

18.1
Hasan Ali to Haider Ali, no run

Short of a length on a tight off-stump line, square cuts it to point

Beautiful wrong'un spinning away from middle, parried back to the bowler

1
Zahid to Haider Ali, 1 run

Quicker googly on middle, shimmies out of the track and powers it away to midwicket

17.4
4
Zahid to Haider Ali, FOUR runs

Steps down the track and pounds it over deep extra cover for a four, Irfan Niazi with a brilliant effort, caught the ball but couldn't toss it up and come back to complete the catch

17.3
Zahid to Haider Ali, no run

Floated and spinning away from off, waits on the backfoot and punches it to cover

Yorker on middle, pushed to long-on, not looking to spin the ball

Zeeshan : "Looks like Nawaz is going to be bowling the last over again.. lol"

2
Muzarabani to Haider Ali, 2 runs

Good length, angled in at the stumps, plays it uppishly over cover-point for a run, slight fumble from Hasan and that allows them to complete the second with ease

16.5
Muzarabani to Haider Ali, no run

Short of length ball, outside off, steered down to short third region

16.4
2
Muzarabani to Haider Ali, 2 runs

Fierce bounce! Mean bumper around the line off, he jumps and tries to deal with the snorter, got something on it and Seifert can't get his hand to it. Really well-directed

16.3
1
Muzarabani to Faheem, 1 run

Back of a length, leaping alarmingly on the line off, happy to punch it to short cover and pinches a run, fielder sitting deep, this is what Islamabad need, doing it nicely

16.2
Muzarabani to Faheem, no run

Short of a length, arcing across off, stands tall and nuzzles it down to mid-off

shahzaib: "The only mistake that Shaheen has made was winning 2 consecutive PSL trophies with a previously dead-beat franchise. He has not done much wrong, the absence of Rashid Khan, leave Lahore without a good specialist spinner and a middle-over bowler."

Mir Hamza to Faheem, 1 wide

Goes for the shot ball ploy, just goes with the angle away from leg stump, he has a wild swish at it and Shan is asking Mir Hamza if he heard anything. They're taking the review. Keep rolling, keep rolling says third umpire and there's pin drop silence on the ultra-edge

15.4
1
Mir Hamza to Haider Ali, 1 run

That's better. Zips one in the channel, slices it off the backfoot to point
