20.3 to FDM Karunaratne, what has the batsman done? That is an awful ball to get out to, after he had looked so good. Al-Amin pitches short and wide. Dimuth has been letting these go all morning, but on this occasion he cuts and fails to keep the shot down. Point didn't have to move, and he swallows it around thigh-height. Another promising start for Dimuth, but that big score still eludes him. The slowness of the pitch might have played a part as well.. 49/2
48 | 4 | 181 | 1 | 3.77 | 189 | 22 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
15.6 to JK Silva, Boom! Gazi strikes, Having flighted everything in the over, he pitches this one short and gets it to turn into Silva. The batsman tries to sweep but the ball goes below the bat and hits him in front of off stump. Would have hit middle and leg probably. A clever change of length by Gazi, and the pitch did the rest.. 39/1

34 | 3 | 148 | 5 | 4.35 | 138 | 16 | 5 | 1 | 0 | |
85.4 to LD Chandimal, he got lucky in the last over, but now he swings off his hips but gets an outside edge to point. Nicely flighted on middle and off as he charged him and looked to send this into orbit over long-on, but all he manages to do is lob a very simple catch to Imrul Kayes square on the off side. 294/4 89.6 to AD Mathews, got im! Shakib has a big smile on his face as this was nothing more than a tossed up delivery on off stump. Mathews goes for a slog, a needless one, and has his off stump pegged back. Another Sri Lankan wicket gifted away. 312/5 110.5 to MDK Perera, Shakib gets a wicket in his first over of the day, it's the new man Dilruwan who is sent on his way, that was tossed up, Perera looked to defend, but played outside the line of that one, struck around off stump, and he can't complain about this decision. 405/7 139.2 to BAW Mendis, and he's struck in front now! Goes on with the arm and Mendis didd not pick it as he strode forward to defend down the wrong line. Struck low on his front pad and that would have crashed into the stumps. Very handy little innings that. 505/8 143.6 to RAS Lakmal, that's his fifth! Lakmal has been adjudged leg before. Arm ball again and kept full on off as he draws Lakmal forward. The tail-ender plays down the wrong line and has to walk back as he is struck quite low and in front of off stump. 533/9
34 | 2 | 110 | 1 | 3.23 | 140 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
70.5 to DPMD Jayawardene, Mahmudullah is carrying his team-mate on his shoulders in celebration of a very crucial wicket! It was fullish and turning in just a hint from middle. Mahela was shuffling across to try and work it away towards fine leg, but is caught plumb in front. A stunning blow by Bangladesh and they will be desperate to capitalise.. 227/3
6.4 | 0 | 16 | 2 | 2.40 | 29 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
109.6 to KDK Vithanage, breakthrough! the crowd in Chittagong goes wild, after an hour of punishment, here's something to cheer, Vithanage looking to defend that one, hit in front and is sent on his way, was there an inside egde? yup, a big one, that's why Vithanage was disappointed after the decision, poor call that. 402/6 156.4 to KC Sangakkara, he's been caught at long-on! Nearly all of the Bangladesh players come across to shake hands with the man as he walks off to the pavilion. Goes down the track to loft this length ball from Nasir and holes out to Gazi in the deep. The bowler has his hands aloft. 587/10

0.4 to Tamim Iqbal, forget getting to stumps without loss, they can't even get through the first over without loss, Tamim is bowled for a duck, the local star is gone, the crowd is gobsmacked, Lakmal gets this one to stay real low, Tamim was caught on the back foot, he had to jam his bat down in an attempt to keep that out, he can't, Bangladesh's day just got worse. 0/1

61.2 to Shamsur Rahman, off goes the off stump! Horrible slog from Shamsur leads to his end. He's picked the wrong ball to go for the hoick as this turns away from him and has to walk back as the stadium stands up to applaud his timely and rather solid effort.. 232/2 72.3 to Imrul Kayes, his stumps are pegged back as he charged down the pitch and Kayes is down here! Think he's twinged that sore hamstring! The physio is out there tending to him. Poor shot again from the set batsman as raced down the pitch and was swinging wildly. Head rolling everywhere as he misses the legspinner and sees his stumps disturbed. Kayes is struggling badly here as he tries to walk off. He needs two of his team-mates to help him make his way out of the field. 259/4 111.4 to Nasir Hossain, he's nicked off! Mendis has struck in overtime and the Bangladesh fans are stunned! Nasir is distraught and Mahmudullah is on his honches! It was short and skidded on to him to defeat his cut shot. Chandimal makes a good grab and Umpire Reiffel reckons there's an outside edge in there.. 396/7 111.5 to Sohag Gazi, that's plumb! Two in two for Mendis! This is the googly and he plays down the wrong line having not picked it. Struck low on the front pad and despite his stride forward, he looked dead. 396/8 115.4 to Mahmudullah, there's the breakthrough! Five for Mendis. Touch more bounce than he expected perhaps as Mahmudullah clips it straight to Kaushal Silva at short leg. Went back and looked to nudge it away but hits it straight to the bat-pad fielder who exhibits good technique by staying low and picking up a smart catch. 409/9 119.5 to Al-Amin Hossain, there's Mendis' sixth! Quicker and flatter on middle and this goes right through him. Very little footwork from Al-Amin and he had a bit of angled face working there as well as he was playing inside the line of that. Had very little going for him there and Bangladesh are all out. 426/10
39 | 4 | 119 | 3 | 3.05 | 169 | 11 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
67.6 to Mominul Haque, sweeps across the line and Mominul is trapped in front! The crowd is stunned as he walks back. This was tossed up on middle and off, planted his front foot down the pitch and is struck in line as this one turns just a touch.. 252/3 89.4 to Mushfiqur Rahim, this time he's gets bat to it and Kaushal Silva at short leg picks up a great catch! Mushfiqur was down the track but Dilruwan pulled his length back just a touch. Gets a bit of turn and bounce as the batsman looks to block, and Mushfiqur walks after getting a glove and watche sthe ball lob to the right of short leg and Kaushal leaves full length and holds on. 319/5 97.1 to Shakib Al Hasan, gone! And Shakib throws it away after reaching 50 again. Huge blow for Sri Lanka, giving how well he had been batting, but it was decent captaincy from Mathews as well. He had two short covers. Perera flights it up and Shakib drives it hard and low to the straighter man, who takes a sharp catch.. 350/6

61.2 to KC Sangakkara, middle stump knocked back! Moved outside off to try and sweep it very very fine, but this was a touch too full for it and he misses it altogether. Goes off his back leg and onto the stumps. Graham Gooch's record is safe as Sanga walks back with 424 runs in the Test, two runs short of Mark Taylor's marathon effort in 1998.. 223/4

29.1 to DPMD Jayawardene, he's given him! Mahela has a look behind him to see if he was in line but he has to walk off leg before! A little slower on middle. The batsman came forward and was defending expecting a little more turn as he is struck low on the pad in front of leg stump. Would that have clipped leg? Umpire Llong thought so. Big, big blow by Bangladesh as chants rise up in Chittagong. 78/3

12.3 to FDM Karunaratne, brilliant catch by Nasir Hossain! And Mahmudullah's off and running making up for his batting this morning! Quick and flat on off stump as he makes some room to cut. Gets a very thick outside edge and it was traveling, to the right of first slip, but he jutted his hands in line and grabbed a good, reflex take. 36/1 16.6 to JK Silva, another one for Mahmudullah! He's having the time of his life with the ball, traps Silva in front of middle! Nice flight on and around off stump and gets some turn as well. Silva wasn't expecting it to respond that much as he pushes down the wrong line and is plumb!. 49/2

34.3 to Shamsur Rahman, this time it's the offspinner's turn to rattle the stumps! Gorgeous flight outside off as he lures Shamsur forward to defend. Gets an inside edge which sneaks through, clips his pads and timber! Shamsur has to walk back, with only 10 minutes left for lunch. 81/2 53.5 to Imrul Kayes, caught in the crease and he's plumb in front! This is flatter and full on middle. Poor decision to go back to play that because that makes him a little slow to bring the bat down in line of the ball and he's struck quite low on the pads. Easy decision for umpire Llong. 151/3
