8:40pm Right, that's all she wrote. Catch you all tomorrow for the second round of the London Derby between Invincibles and Spirit!

8:35pm Birmingham Phoenix skipper Liam Livingstone, who plays his county cricket at Emirates Old Trafford, is not happy with tonight's surface, despite finishing on the winning side:

"It's a bit disappointing to be honest. When you look at the two teams on paper, the fans coming to watch are excited for the players batting out there, and the high pace on both sides.

"To play the four games on the same pitch, I'm not sure there would have been too many people in here who enjoyed watching that game of cricket. It was disappointing as a spectacle I think.

"I want to go out there and entertain kids. And I want people to come to grounds and like what they see in the middle. I don't think many people would have come in and enjoyed watching that game here today."

8:30pm No doubt about it, that might be the worst match of the tournament so far. Nothing on it because Trent Rockets had sewn up the final spot in the top three a few hours earlier, on a very tired surface. Joe Clarke is the Meerkat Match Hero, by the way, for his engaging 40 off 21 up top in Phoenix's pursuit of their 110 target. "I feel in good rhythm and good confidence. The pitch has been used a few times, so it was on the slower side. It helped having Ben at the other end who could knock it around and run hard."

4
Currie to Duckett, FOUR runs

Wins it with an extra cover drive! A comprehensive performance is capped off with 17 deliveries to spare as Phoenix seal victory by seven wickets! Duckett's had a tough tournament but he walks off unbeaten with 49, having managed just 54 from six previous innings....

82
1
Currie to Bethell, 1 run

Wide on the crease, worked into deep midwicket... Bethell was keen on the second but Duckett said no before apologising as the two fielders converging on the ball delay one another with a polite "after you, no I insist"

81
Currie to Bethell, no run

Full, angling into middle and off at 80mph, bunted into the ground and back to the bowler

2 needed from 20... Currie over the wicket to Bethell

Baker to Duckett, no run

"Oh my word" yelps Duckett as a short delivery zips threw off a length, only 85mph on the clock but that looked a heck of a lot more. Duckett certainly thought so

79
1lb
Baker to Bethell, 1 leg bye

Yorker on leg stump from wide of the crease, 86mph, worn by Bethell down to long leg for a bye

78
1
Baker to Duckett, 1 run

Pace off, short, flummoxes Duckett who ends up pulling around the corner with just one hand on the bat... but falls short of Hartley, who ends up wearing it on the shin

77
6
Baker to Duckett, SIX runs

Nailed! Dug in, good pace, but the angle allows Ducket to swivel into the shot and clear Hartley at long leg. Was only a 55m six, too

76
Baker to Duckett, no run

Wide on the crease, Duckett goes to pull around the corner but ends up hitting it down towards Buttler

Baker, 1 for 13 from his first 15, in for his final 5...

1
Tongue to Bethell, 1 run

Wide on the crease, short, hurries Bethell into a pull shot, but there's no one in the ring to profit from the fact that was tamely played in the air

74
Tongue to Bethell, no run

Angled into middle, bit of nip away, Bethell just about covers that with the full face

73
2
Tongue to Bethell, 2 runs

Darted into the hip, stump height, worked away behind square nicely, and good pace on the first run means Bethell can scamper back for a second to keep the strike

Bethell is the new man. Tongue around the wicket

72
W
Tongue to Livingstone, OUT

Taken this time! Another duffed hoik across the line, high up again... but grabbed well by Hurst who was circling at deep midwicket
