that's the victory, Ramdin seals it with a pull behind square for four more, West Indies have won by five wickets with 3.1 overs to spare
South Africa vs West Indies, 1st T20I at Gqeberha, Dec 16 2007 - Ball by Ball Commentary
West Indies won by 5 wickets (with 19 balls remaining)
It's been an emphatic victory for West Indies on a rain-affected day. Their bowlers used the conditions well and had South Africa beaten at 12 for 6. Botha's cameo took them to 58 after 13 overs. The West Indies batsmen batted aggressively, wanting to knock off the target as soon as possible. The one positive for South Africa from this game is Dale Steyn's terrific fast-bowling form. The batsmen withered against his yorkers and it was a warning sign ahead of the Boxing Day Test.
However, today has been West Indies' day. Taylor was their best bowler and it was his first over in which he took three wickets that set up the victory. He's the Player of the Match today. "Jerome Taylor led the way and it was a fantastic bowling effort," said Dwayne Bravo, the West Indies captain.
It's been an eventful evening and refreshingly, the ball has dominated the bat, which is preciously rare for the Twenty20 format. That's about it from me today, this is George Binoy signing off. Cheers!
