ABC extends radio contract

The ABC will broadcast Australian cricket for another five years after renewing their 72-year relationship with Cricket Australia

The ABC will broadcast Australian cricket for another five years after renewing their 72-year relationship with Cricket Australia today. The new deal will include internet audio rights, exclusive ball-by-ball radio coverage and broadcasting of the Pura and ING cups.
James Sutherland, the Cricket Australia chief executive, said he was delighted with the contract. "ABC Radio and its broadcast of cricket is an institution in Australia and we are thrilled to continue our partnership with them," Sutherland said. "Cricket Australia is committed to taking the game to as many Australians as possible and this new deal will help us do that."
