Australia To Play In Sri Lankan World Series (03 Jan 1996)

Australia will be one of the four teams which will play in the World Series which will be played in Sri Lanka later this year. Sri Lanka will host its second World Series Cup Cricket tournament in September-October.The Singer four-nation limited over tournament which was first held in September 1994 will take place immediately after the Australian tour in August/September next year. Sri Lanka is yet to identify the other teams which will be invited to play in the quadrangular contest. Sri Lanka`s 1996 international cricket season starts with the hosting of four World Cup matches in February/March.
