The itinerary of the South African tour of India is to be ratified at
the working committee meeting of the Board of Control For Cricket in
India to be held in Chennai on December 19. It is learnt that there
could be some changes from the itinerary originally announced. The
South Africans are to play two Tests, five one day internationals and
a three day game during their February-March tour of the country. A
day prior to the working committee meeting, the BCCI's finance
committee will meet and routinely pass the accounts.
According to Ashok Kumbhat, secretary, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association,
the CK Nayudu Trophy under-19 inter-zonal tournament will be held in
Chennai from Dec 24 to 29. The competition was originally to have been
held in Cuttack. The Vinoo Mankad Trophy match between the winners of
the CK Nayudu Trophy and the under-19 Rest of India team will be held
in Chennai on Dec 31.
The camp for the Indian probables for the junior World Cup to be held
in Sri Lanka in January would also be held at Chennai. The camp would
last for about ten days, according to Kumbhat.
