Ben Hutton named as 2006 Middlesex captain

Middlesex yesterday announced that Ben Hutton will continue as the club's captain for the 2006 season.

Commenting on the decision, Hutton said: "I see it as a great honour to captain Middlesex, and I am delighted to have been asked to do it again in 2006.

Leading the side this season has been a huge challenge; I have really enjoyed the experience and feel that I have learnt a considerable amount about the job. We have a very talented side and, with some sensible recruitment during the winter, we have the makings of a trophy-winning side. I look forward to leading the side to further success next year season."
