Border and Griqualand West, the winners of their respective pools, will contest the UCB Provincial Cup final in mid-March over four days at the De Beers Oval in Kimberley.
Griqualand West have been awarded home advantage due to their better points average, and they go into the final with a lot of confidence after winning three of their four fixtures. Adrian McClaren and Wendell Bossenger will bolster the batting while leading wicket-taker and allrounder Alan Kruger should be well supported by Jandre Coetzee in the bowling department.
Border are not to be under-estimated. They have managed three wins out of five, and will look to their allrounders Johan Botha and Warwick Hinkell to keep Griqualand West at bay. Carl Bradfield and Michael Matika will be shouldered with the rest of the batting responsibilities.
Home advantage and a more balanced batting line-up may just swing the scales in Griqualand West's favour.
