The bouncer charged over the death of David Hookes has been committed to stand trial in Melbourne next March.
Zdravko Micevic, 22, pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and assault after Hookes was attacked outside the Beaconsfield Hotel in St Kilda on January 18 this year. Hookes, 48, died at The Alfred hospital from injuries he received when he was allegedly knocked to the ground near the bayside hotel.
Melbourne Magistrate Ian McGrane committed Micevic to stand trial at the Supreme Court in March next year.
