Two South African venues have been granted new Test Match status by the ICC this summer and, when Bangladesh play the first Castle Lager/MTN Test match at Buffalo Park, East London, from the 18th of October, that ground becomes the seventh venue in this country with current ICC Test Match status. The North West Cricket Stadium in Potchefstroom achieves the same status a week later.
