Gloucestershire CCC have announced that Rob Cunliffe's request to be released from his contract has been granted
A statement released by the club stated: "It is felt that he has had few opportunities to play for the first XI and his future success in first-class cricket lies with another club"
Cunliffe played for England U19 and made his Gloucestershire debut in 1993. He struck a crucial 61 against Yorkshire in the Benson and Hedges Super Cup Final at Lord's in 1999.
