England 246 for 7 (Northeast 70, Godleman 53) beat Malaysia 82 (Dawson 6-9) by 152 runs (D/L method)
England Under-19 began their second tri-series in Malaysia with a convincing 152-run over the hosts. Liam Dawson, the Hampshire offspinner, was the star with 6 for 9 as Malaysia made little impact on their revised target of 234 from 46 overs.
Alex Wakely continued his impressive tour with three wickets as Malaysia crashed for 82 in under 28 overs, continuing their struggle against attacks which are in a different league.
England's 246 for 7 was built around an opening stand of 152 between Sam Northeast and Billy Godleman, two of the batting successes of the trip. However, when the pair were parted in the 33rd over the innings fell away as only another 94 with added in 17 overs.
India are the third team in the tournament, after Sri Lanka gained the first tri-series with victory over England in the final.
