The promotion, coordinated is association with the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) and Cricket Victoria, called on the general public to donate unwanted cricket equipment for distribution to developing cricket countries within the EAP region.
The response to the 2005 drive was outstanding, mainly thanks to the excellent media coverage received from ABC Radio and the Channel 9 Cricket Show. 800 more items were received during the 2005 drive compared to 2004.
In addition to the second-hand gear received during the Test, two sporting stores (Coach Cap in New South Wales and Knight Sports in Victoria) have pledged donations worth over AU$10,000 in new cricket equipment.
ICC EAP would like to thank its partners in this promotion, the MCC and Cricket Victoria, in addition to Cricket Australia, ABC Radio and Channel 9 for their support of this initiative.
