Adil Rashid, the young Yorkshire legspinner, was largely anonymous in England A's recent tour of Bangladesh but Jason Gillespie, with whom Rashid will play this season, has already identified him as a future England player.
"Adil is probably the best young cricketer in England," Gillespie told the Northern Echo. "He has worked hard on his game with Terry Jenner and is improving. He is only 19 so it would be unfair to expect too much at this stage but he has a lot of ability.
"He has to establish himself in the Yorkshire team and improve his batting, but I think he could play an allround role for England in the future."
Rashid was somewhat of a sensation last summer. He took 6 for 67 on his Championship debut against Warwickshire, en route to 25 wickets in five matches. And Against the touring India Under-19s, he took 8 for 157 and struck 114 to confirm his immense promise with both bat and ball.
