Gloucestershire are trying to persuade Ian Harvey to return to the county next summer.
The west country side have completed an unprecedented one-day hat-trick this
season by winning all three titles - Benson & Hedges Cup, NatWest Trophy and
National League - and Harvey has played a starring role.
Chief executive Colin Sextone said: ``We are currently holding talks with Ian and hopefully he will return.''
There's no indication that Gloucestershire are considering re-engaging the West Indies veteran Courtney Walsh.
"Courtney's record for Gloucestershire and the West Indies is without equal,
and we are all delighted that he now holds the world record of Test match
wickets," said Sextone.
"However, the club has achieved unparalleled success over the last two
seasons and we wish to continue developing our young bowlers."
