India made a confident start to their five-match one-day international series against New Zealand and they look a good bet to take a 2-0 lead by winning in Jaipur on Wednesday.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid may all be absent from the side after their narrow victory in the Test series but such is the strength in depth of the India batting that they are barely being missed.
Gautam Gambhir captained them to victory in the opening match, in which Vinod Kohli scored a century and Yuvraj Singh took three wickets, and everything looks rosy in their garden as they go into match two of the five-game series.
New Zealand have it all to do and though they are always capable of playing above themselves, especially in one-day cricket, they look real outside bets for this one. Bet365 make India 4/9 to win the second match in Jaipur, while New Zealand are 7/4.
The tourists may draw some hope from the fact that India have lost four of the 10 one-dayers to be staged in Jaipur, but India are so settled and so confident right now that unless they under-perform it's hard to see them being beaten.
Despite Kohli's century, Gambhir just shades favouritism in the India top runscorer market, at 3/1 to his team-mate's 7/2. Murali Vijay is 4/1, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina 5/1, while newcomer Saurabh Tiwary is 11/2.
Ross Taylor is favourite for New Zealand at 3/1, with Brendan McCullum 7/2, Jamie How 4/1 and Martin Guptill 9/2. Kane Williamson is 5/1 and Scott Styris 13/2.
