India v Australia, 6th ODI, Guwahati

08-Nov-2009
It was the second ball MS Dhoni faced, as Doug Bollinger got the ball to shape in late. It was a delayed appeal, and there was a noise even as Dhoni left the ball alone. Replays showed he was a goner, though the umpire didn't think so. A luck reprieve as India could have been mired in trouble at 23 for 3.
Bollinger was the man of the moment for Australia, and in the 45th over, with India looking for a late assault he dealt them a harsh blow. He had Ravindra Jadeja holing to midwicket after a well-deserved fifty, ending any hopes of him taking India to a troubling score along with Praveen Kumar.
After they had lost Shaun Marsh early with the score on 24, Watson and Ponting held firm, putting on 61 for the second wicket. It was the perfect platform as Australia never looked in trouble from then on, and in fact, it was the Indian bowlers who found the going getting tougher.
