New Zealand will play their Test matches on the tour of India in September-October in Mohali and Kanpur, although in which order is still to be decided.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the itinerary for the tour yesterday. Kanpur was the venue for New Zealand's only Test loss on their last tour in 1999.
New Zealand, who will be coached on tour by New Zealand Cricket's player development manager Ashley Ross, because newly-appointed coach John Bracewell will not start in his new position until November 1, start their tour on September 23.
They have two three-day warm-up matches against a Board President's XI and an India A side in Visakhapatnam and Rajkot respectively.
The tour also includes a one-day tri-series against the World Cup finalists Australia and India.
The itinerary is:
September 26-28 - New Zealand v Indian Board President's XI at Visakhapatnam
October 2-4 - New Zealand v India A at Rajkot
October 8-12 - First Test, New Zealand v India at Mohali or Kanpur
October 16-20 - Second Test, New Zealand v India at Mohali or Kanpur
One-day tri-series: (all day/night)
October 23 - India v New Zealand at Chennai
October 26 - India v Australia at Gwalior
October 29 - Australia v New Zealand at Faridabad
November 1 - India v Australia at Mumbai
November 3 - Australia v New Zealand at Pune
November 6 - India v New Zealand at Cuttack
November 9 - Australia v New Zealand at Guwahati
November 12 - India v Australia at Bangalore
November 15 - India v New Zealand at Hyderabad
November 18 - Final at Calcutta
