Intikhab, Sohail welcome report

Lahore, May 25: Former Test captain, manager and coach of the Pakistan cricket team Intikhab Alam and former skipper Aamir Sohail have welcomed the announcement of the one-man judicial commission report. Talking to Dawn on Thursday, Intikhab Alam said that hopefully the announcement would prove helpful in eliminating this bad practice which had been jolting the cricket world in the past.

In reply to a question, Intikhab Alam said that it would be premature to say that the International Cricket Council (ICC) could take any action against Pakistan on the basis of this report."We should hope the ICC will consider the announcement as a bold decision of the PCB", he said.

Aamir Sohail said the report had confirmed the allegations of match-fixing and betting which plagued the international cricket.
