Ireland and Devon progress to the third round

Ireland and Devon provided the biggest upsets in the second round of the C&G Trophy. Ireland beat an out-of-sorts Surrey by five wickets, while Devon went through to the next round at Leicestershire's expense after the scores were tied, having lost fewer wickets. Elsewhere in the games completed today, Kent, Middlesex, Northants, Warwickshire and Worcestershire didn't slip up against lesser opposition. In the all first-class tie, Sussex beat Durham by 22 runs.
