The tri-series kicks off on Wednesday with Kenya taking on Pakistan A. Both teams sparred with each other in the two recent first-class games, but could not deliver a decisive punch.
But the limited-overs games begin today, and, barring interruptions, results are guaranteed. Both teams would have realised each other's strengths - batting - to a large extent, while India A come fresh off a 10-wicket victory against an almost full-strength Zimbabwe side.
The batsmen in form for Kenya are Maurice Odumbe, Ravindu Shah, Steve Tikolo and Hitesh Modi. Shah, especially, would be on a high after scoring a record-247 runs. But Odumbe, who had come under much pressure recently, would also have gained confidence with his half-century and hundred in the four-day game.
The main bowling attack will consist of Martin Suji, Thomas Odoyo, Josephat Ababu and Lameck Onyango, while Odumbe and Tikolo will provide the spinning options. The Kenyans will rely on both bowlers because Collins Obuya is recovering from surgery.
This is a Kenyan team with one of their prominent bowlers absent, but their confidence fully intact.
