KwaZulu-Natal cricketers receive awards

The annual KwaZulu Natal Premier's Sports awards were held last night at the
International Convention Centre, to honour all those individuals and teams
who contribute to the exceptional standard of sport in KZN.
The KwaZulu Natal Cricket Union is especially proud that several of these
awards were presented to cricket administrators and players in the province.
Johmari Logtenberg (14) received a silver award together with the Junior
Sportswoman of the Year award for being the youngest woman to be selected
for the National Women's Cricket Team.
Imraan Khan was awarded a silver award for his selection for the KZN
Dolphins team and for Captaining the S A U19 team.
Y Ismail received the administrator's merit award for his contribution to
cricket on the North Coast while the KwaZulu Natal Inland Country Districts
team received a team award.
In addition, CEO of the KZNCU, Mr Cassim Docrat was acknowledged for his
role in the service of cricket in KZN and more especially for his
contribution to the recent success of Cricket World Cup 2003.
The KZNCU wish to convey their hearty congratulations to the recipients on
their outstanding achievements.
