LONDON, Jan 6 (AFP) - West Indies tour manager Sir Clive Lloyd has
blasted his struggling squad as they face more humiliation in South
Africa.
Talking to BBC Radio Four, Lloyd on Wednesday labelled his team's
batting as "abysmal" and accused the players of lacking discipline and
professionalism as the stood on the brink of another Test match
defeat.
The Windies are set to go 4-0 down in the five-Test series, having
slumped to 93 for six at the end of the fourth day of the fourth Test
in Cape Town after being set a near-impossible victory target of 421.
"The batting has been abysmal, there's no doubt about that," Lloyd
said. "For the last 20 years our discipline has been excellent, we've
been very professional - these guys haven't been.
"We are sadly lacking in class batters and batters who are
consistent."
