MDC issues warning to Millennium about Sunday Cup squad

Having already disqualified the Pakistan Association Green team from the 2005-06 HKCA Sunday Cup competition earlier in the week, the MDC has had to issue a warning to Millennium CC for decalring an erroneous squad list.

The MDC reviewed the case resolved that it was case of mistaken identity and accepted that the incorrect name entered on the squad list was a genuine error.

The following warning was conveyed to the captain/manager of the Millennium team.

The MDC has found that your team has fielded Iftikar Ahmed Junior in your Sunday Cup side which played vs HKCC Wanderers on Sunday 26th February. Iftikar Ahmed Junior is not a declared member of your declared Cup squad.

The MDC does however accept your explanation that the name Iftikar Ahmed Senior was entered on your squad list in genuine error, and that in fact this name should have been Iftikar Ahmed Junior.

HKCA office will accordingly note this adjustment to your squad list.

Your team is warned to ensure that the squad lists submitted for competitions are accurate and that the players who take the field correspond properly with your declared squad list, as further breaches of the technical rules may result in the disqualification of your team.
