Michael Kasprowicz selected for Travelex One-Day International Tour of India

Cricket Australia today announced that the National Selection Panel (NSP) has chosen Queensland Bulls fast-bowler Michael Kasprowicz in the 14-man squad for the Travelex One-Day International Tour of India, replacing the injured Brett Lee.

Cricket Australia today announced that the National Selection Panel (NSP) has chosen Queensland Bulls fast-bowler Michael Kasprowicz in the 14-man squad for the Travelex One-Day International Tour of India, replacing the injured Brett Lee.
The 31-year-old, who has played 16 one-day internationals for Australia, the last being in February 1999 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against Sri Lanka, has spent the winter playing for English county side, Glamorgan.
During that stint he claimed career-best figures of 9-36 on his way to 77 first-class wickets for the season.
NSP Chairman Trevor Hohns said: "With injuries to our senior bowling line-up, we felt that on this occasion it was necessary to look for another experienced quick.
"Michael also has experience in the challenging conditions of the sub-continent and that will be a real asset to the squad.
"Given the work load that Andy Bichel and Brad Williams will face during this current Test match, it is fair to say that Michael will play a big role in India," he said.
Kasprowicz was the winner of the 2002-03 Ian Healy Trophy as the Bulls most valuable player.
