Scorecard
Monish Mishra's quickfire half-century allowed Madhya Pradesh to end the tournament on a high, despite not having any chance of qualifying for the knock-out stage. Chasing 218 for victory, in the final league match of the Central Zone Ranji one-day tournament in Indore, MP were helped by some solid partnerships. Naman Ojha and Zafar Ali set the tone with a 60-run opening stand before Mishra, playing in just his sixth one-dayer, steered them home with a controlled 66.
The experienced Devendra Bundela supported him with a patient 48. UP, who were asked to bat first, were reduced to 145 for 7 after a top-order collapse, with opening bowler Shantanu Pitre grabbling four wickets. But Parvinder Singh's fiery 50 lifted them to a respectable 217. The result didn't matter to UP, though, after they'd already claimed the Central Zone title.
