New Auckland chief executive appointed

Auckland Cricket chairman Rex Smith today announced the appointment of Andrew Eade as chief executive of the Association

Auckland Cricket chairman Rex Smith today announced the appointment of Andrew Eade as chief executive of the Association.
Eade, 41, has been the International Cricket Council global development manager since August 2000. Prior to his appointment to that role he was the ICC regional development manager for the East Asia/Pacific region.
A former Aucklander, Eade has a Master of Laws from the University of Auckland. He played senior cricket for the Suburbs New Lynn club; was involved in the development of West Auckland cricket; and also coached the State Auckland Hearts women's team for four seasons in the 1990s.
Eade will return from London to take up the position of chief executive in October. Outgoing chief executive Lindsay Crocker left Auckland Cricket in July to take up a new position as general manager of the Black Caps at New Zealand Cricket.
