New Zealand A 570 beat Sri Lanka A 276 and 228 (Parera 70, Daniel 66) by an innings and 66 runs
New Zealand A swept to a comprehensive victory by an innings and 66 runs, dismissing Sri Lanka A for 228 on the fourth day of the five-day game at Lincoln. Resuming at 45 for 2, Ian Daniel and Bathiya Perera, the not-out batsmen, led Sri Lanka's resistance, adding 99 more runs. Both batsmen made half-centuries - Daniel made 66 while Perera top-scored with 70.
However, both were dismissed within 16 runs of each other, and none of the other Sri Lanka A batsmen provided much of a fight. For New Zealand A, Kyle Mills and Paul Wiseman took three wickets each, while James Franklin chipped in with two.
New Zealand A had earlier won the first match by an innings and 237 runs.
