Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to state as in the past, the Rights to telecast matches played outside Sri Lanka was a matter between the local television companies in Sri Lanka and the relevant cricket boards in whose country the cricket matches are played.

Sri Lanka Cricket only has the Rights for international Cricket matches played within Sri Lanka.

Further Sri Lanka Cricket did their best to show the matches telecast on cable channel in Sri Lanka at public places, but due to the prevailing security situation in the country, restrictions have been imposed.

Sri Lanka Cricket has opened a hotline for current updates as usual with the present tour of New Zealand. Further ball-by-ball commentaries are relayed over Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Sports Service.

It is note worthy to mention that during the previous administration of Sri Lanka Cricket some of the international matches played outside Sri Lanka were not telecast on local television channels in Sri Lanka.
