New Zealand v West Indies 2008/9 (Preview)

This one is going to be a bowlers' series

This one is going to be a bowlers' series. At least, that's what I think. A dangerous and quite avoidable thing for someone like me to attempt, you might say. And I hear you. Still, it's an occupational hazard. So here goes.
Like said, I think it's going to be a bowlers' series. In New Zealand, most times it is. As any half-assed cricket writer worth his words will tell you, historically, seamers are the ones that have tended to do well in New Zealand. Batsmen who can play the moving ball too. So keep this in mind when you're picking your fantasy teams.
Going forward, it goes without saying that you've got to put your fantasy money on the players in form. So why say it at all. Because some of us just don't get it despite being told. That told, go back and take a look at the numbers each player returned in the series that preceded this one and you'll find the guys you should have in your fantasy teams for the first Test.
From there on, it's all down to actual performance. I know, it goes without saying. And yet, you now know why it needs to be said. Good luck. I hope these little tips, guidelines, clues ... call them what you want, have proved useful and will help you pick the right players for your fantasy teams. Another thing you will find useful when picking your fantasy team is the series home page. Make it a point to keep going back to it so you know who's in and who's not.
And yes, feel free to share your team with me. Who knows, I might be able to fine-tune it for you. Not that you should depend on my advise for anything. After all, I'm no hotshot fantasy manager; just a Community Manager trying to do the job of pointing you in the right direction. Adios.
