Karachi, May 31: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has accepted an invitation from Dubai Cricket Council (ICC) to send its teams to the desert city for a three-match one-day international series against India.
The chairman of the PCB, Lt Gen Tauqir Zia said the PCB have accepted the proposal but added that the Indian cricket board have yet to confirm their availability. The board is expected to earn $ two millions from the series.
He said the matches will be played on Sept 22, 23 and 25 while Pakistan and Indian teams will be on their way back after competing in the five-match series in Toronto.
Nasimul Ghani, member of the PCB advisory panel, said the organizers have also extended an invitation to Sri Lanka.
"If India and Sri Lanka agree, the event would be triangular but if India withdraw, then Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play," he said.
India have refused to play Pakistan in a one-to-one series which makes their appearance in the Toronto and Dubai competitions doubtful.
