Karachi, Jan 3: Two former Pakistan Test stars created a scene when they almost
came to blows at the Qadhafi Stadium on Wednesday morning to settle their court
battle in the open.
Sarfraz Nawaz and Ramiz Raja exchanged hot words with latter threatening the
former pacer to be `thrown out of the stadium'.
Sarfraz alleged that he was sitting in the waiting room to meet chairman of the
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Lt Gen Tauqir Zia when Ramiz entered the room.
"Ramiz started shouting and hurling abuses in front of the secretariat staff. He
asked the security guards as to who allowed me in the stadium. He later
threatenened to get me thrown out if I didn't walk off," Sarfraz claimed.
Ramiz, a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) advisory council, is engaged
in a legal battle with Sarfraz after the former fast bowler accused him of
misappropriation and abuse of power in an interview.
Ramiz, who was not available for comments, has filed a Rs 50 million law suit in
the Lahore High Court.
