Sri Lanka`s domestic limited-over cricket champions Bloomfield C
& AC has confirmed their participation at the City of Durham
Inter-national Invitations limited-over Club Cricket Festival to
be held in Durham next year.
Some of the top club teams from 18 different countries are expected to participate including Barbados,Canada,Denmark,Germany,
Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and the
USA. The tournament will be worked off from August 2 - 9, 1997.
The club sources said that they are confident of finding a sponsor to cover the cost of the tour which will amount to 15000
pounds sterling (approx. Rs. 1.26 million).
