Sri Lanka v India, 2012

Wisden's review of the fourth ODI, Sri Lanka v India, 2012

15-Apr-2013
At Colombo (RPS), July 31, 2012 (day/night). India won by six wickets. Toss: Sri Lanka. One-day international debut: A. N. P. R. Fernando.
India sealed the series with a game to spare, thanks once more to Kohli, who smashed his fifth hundred - four of them against Sri Lanka - in eight one-day international innings. His 128, from only 119 balls, ushered India past a reasonable target with 46 deliveries unused. India's other star was Tiwary, who had hit his maiden century against West Indies in his last one-day international, in December 2011. Dhoni might have expected an over or two from his occasional leg-spin, but four wickets from a full stint was an unexpected bonus. Later, Tiwary made 21 and, although he departed at 109 for four, Raina - given not out when the Sri Lankans thought he was caught behind off Herath when two, then dropped at slip by Jayawardene on 19 - helped Kohli knock off the runs.
Man of the Match: V. Kohli.
