Stanley Perlman re-elected as Chairman of mostly unchanged ICA Committee

Stanley Perlman was re-elected as chairman of the ICA committee at the Annual General Meeting which was held earlier this month in Tel Aviv

Stanley Perlman was re-elected as chairman of the ICA committee at the Annual General Meeting which was held earlier this month in Tel Aviv. Abe Ashton was voted on to the committee, replacing George Sheader who did not stand for re-election. All other members of the board - Ezra Ben Yehuda, Naor Gudker, Harry Jonathan, Rafi Penkar and Avner Wasker - were re-elected for a further term.
Ahead of the elections, the Indian Ambassador to Israel, Arun Kumar Singh, delivered an opening address, noting that cricket is a strong bridge between India and its
diaspora now settled in Israel. "The Indian community here shows the same passion for the game as is seen in India. They also follow the performance of the Indian team with strong sentiments," Singh noted.
Stanley Perlman, who is also a member of the ICC executive committee, also lauded the contribution of the Indian community in resurrecting the once dead cricket scene in the Holy Land during their early years of immigration in the 1950's.
Following the opening remarks, Stanley Perlman delivered his Chairman's report for the 2005 season, and Ezra Ben Yehuda presented the Treasurer's Report.
