33 Number of innings played by Corey Anderson to hit 50 sixes in ODIs. He hit three sixes in this match to take his tally to 51 sixes in 33 innings. He is the fastest to the milestone, by a distance, beating Andre Russell who had taken 42 innings for the same.
9 Man-of-the-Match awards for Martin Guptill in international matches since the start of 2015, the most by any player. AB de Villiers and Steven Smith have got seven such awards in this period. Guptill has got six in ODIs, two in T20Is and one in Tests. For New Zealand, Kane Williamson comes next with four.
159 Runs added by Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson - the highest second-wicket partnership for New Zealand in ODIs. They bettered the previous best stand of 157 by Guptill and Brendon McCullum against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2011-12. Only once has there been a bigger stand than this for New Zealand against Pakistan for any wicket: 193 by Nathan Astle and Stephen Fleming for the first wicket in Dunedin in 2000-01. In Auckland, this was the third-highest stand for any wicket and the highest for New Zealand since Martin Crowe and Geoff Howarth shared 160 runs for the third-wicket against England way back in 1983-84.
1992 The last time New Zealand had won three consecutive ODIs in Auckland, before this sequence. It was in the 1992 World Cup, where they won their first three games here and then lost to Pakistan in the semi-final. Since the venue's early ODI days, when they won their first six one-dayers here, New Zealand haven't seen much success here. Since January 1993, New Zealand have played 50 ODIs here and have won only 19 while losing 27. Their win-loss ratio of 0.703 is the second-worst among all of their home venues, without any minimum cut-offs.
0 Number of instances in the past when two players took four or more catches each for a side in an ODI innings. Four catches each by wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi and Guptill in this game for New Zealand meant this was the first ever such occasion. Taking into account both innings of a match, only four times was there one player each from either side who took four or more catches.
82 & 4 Guptill's 82 runs and four catches - only the 11th time a player has scored 50 or more runs and taken four or more catches in an ODI. The last player to do this was Rilee Rossouw (51 runs and four catches) against Australia at the SCG in November 2014.
1 Totals higher than Pakistan's 290 when teams have got all out with 15 or more balls to spare while batting first; only England managed more when they were all out for 302 in 45.2 overs, also against New Zealand, in Southampton in 2015. There have been only two other such totals over 250: Pakistan's 262 in 45 overs against South Africa in Port Elizabeth in 2013-14, and India's 251 in 47.3 overs against West Indies in Kingston in 2011.
5 Instances of two batsmen getting out in the 80s for New Zealand in an ODI. Guptill's 82 and Williamson's 84 in this match was the fifth and, incidentally, the previous two were also against Pakistan. The last was in Mohali in the Champions Trophy 2006-07 when Fleming was out for 80 and Scott Styris for 86. Including Babar Azam in Pakistan's innings, this is only the fourth ODI with three batsmen getting out in 80s. This is also the first ever instance when four batsmen reached 75 but were out before getting a century.
134 Runs added for the third wicket by Babar Azam and Hafeez - Pakistan's first century partnership for any wicket in Auckland in 12 ODIs. Their previous highest was 87 between Inzamam-ul-Haq and Javed Miandad in the semi-final of the 1992 World Cup while chasing against the hosts.
3 Number of first-ball ducks for McCullum as captain in ODIs, including today's. No other New Zealand captain has registered more than one golden duck in ODIs - one each for Fleming, Ken Rutherford and Daniel Vettori.
