The America's team came back strongly at the end of the second day's play after been bowled out for 156 at Sabina Park.
The match has been reduced to a two day game due to the Hurricane Charley that brushed past Kingston yesterday, after it made play impossible with very strong winds and torrential rain.
Barbados won the toss and decided to put the America's in to bat on what proved to be a lively pitch at Sabina Park.
Gibran Rahaman (27) and Jasjet Mangat (29) gave them a good start with a 41 run opening partnership. They lost both openers in quick succession but it was left to Captain Ali Shafi and Akhil Pathan to put on 46 for the sixth wicket.
Pathan was caught and bowled by Ronaldo Paris for a well played 28 runs which included 3x 4's and 1 x 6's. He was soon joined back in the pavilion by his captain who was caught behind for a solid innings of 32 off the bowling of Yearwood.
The America's ended their innings on 156 when Faizan Syed was bowled by Ruel Braitwait who finished with figures of 15-1-42-4.
Barbados started in disastrous fashion loosing both their openers for 1 and 5 respectively, leaving the score on 8. They were soon in deeper trouble when they lost Kevin Stoute (0) caught behind by Keniel Williams off the bowling of Akhil Pathan (4-0-17-2).
Nerval Grazette was joined by Orman Kellman and they put on 41 for the fourth wicket. However Hasan Aziz struck with Kellman falling for 21 caught by Williams to leave Barbados struggling at 49/4.
They were soon in more trouble with Karum Jethi bowling Oman Philips (1) in the last over of the day.
Karum Jethi (4-2-3-1), Faizan Syed (4-2-6-1) and Hasan Aziz (7-2-14-1) caused the damage for the America's team.
The Barbados team will resume tomorrow with the score on 54/5 needing 2 runs to avoid the follow on. The America's will be looking for a quick five wickets and then to set Barbados a total to chase in order for them to pull off their first win of the Tournament.
In the other match of the day, The Windward Islands were bowled out for 198 and Jamaica were on 98/3 in reply.
